offhand stands

Post by Guest »

I'm Looking to purchase a good offhand stand. Has anyone had any experience with the Gehmann 3-position rest, Gehmann pacakway rest, or the Champion's Choice offhand stand? Are there any others that I should consider? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi

Our shooting team has several of the Champion's Choice offhand stands. You can get both a pellet box stand, or a .22LR stand for these stands. They telescope in and out for storage, but are obviously strong enough that in three years of coaching, I've never seem one slam shut during shooting.

I know nothing about Gehmann's stands, but the one's sold by Champion's Choice are very good. If you are purchasing for a team, at least some of the shooting supply stores will give you a break of some kind. In some cases (not our host), this concept varies depending on who answers the phone.

I'll give another +++ for the Champions Choice stand. I also have a Freeland stand, however it is too short with 2 rod sections and too tall with 3. I was never really happy with it so I converted it to a scope stand and purchased the Champ Choice. Strong, Stable and light.
