I recently came across a new item called the Centra Mirror Sight Ring. It's an interchangable rifle sight ring that has a mirrored surface. Yes, you see your own eye on the surface. Its purpose is to ensure proper rear sight alignment with your eye. When the hole superimposes the pupil of the shooting eye, you're properly aligned for that shot. It goes for about $59 US. I'm wondering if any of you have tried it and what you think of it. I don't want to invest in anything until it has a track record.

Interesting...
I just checked the ISSF rules; mirror sights are not allowed in pistol (8.4.2.3), but there is no such specific mention in the rifle rules.
Opinions?

It's approved by the ISSF for use on rifles.

Shot with one a year or three back in .22, thought it was a very neat idea. Didn't have a centra rearsight though. Then got a centra rearsight last year for my air rifle, and then two weeks ago bought the mirror inset in Bisley at the British Airgun Championships. Haven't been able to train with it yet though, but I'll post whether or not it lives up to how good I thought it was in smallbore.
