In Need Of Help

Post by fiestylynx »

Hi there, *waves* I am in need of some help for my father who doesnt have a computer however he came across a rifle and need some information about it and was told to come to this website to see if anyone here knew anything about it.. a Sgt. 1st Class Johnson had his wife Ruth register a 22 Long Rifle, semi-auto matic in her name so that she could get it in the States for him back in 55-56 from France, evidently they were never imported here, its a D-1 model the serial # is 518368 E097221 still in the original box with original paper work. We are trying to find out any information on it if anyone can help us, what the value might be or anything. We cant find it in any books here or anything. Any help would be appreciated thank you.

Hi,

Several Digital Photos would be very helpful in seeing what the rifle looks like and it's condition. In short, it's worth what someone is willing to pay. Sometimes people pay higher prices for something they want, especially if there is nothing comparable available.

Good Luck,

I dont have a digital camera, however the rifle is in excellent condition, my father has cleaned it and says that it was extremely well kept and everything is in good working order. The D-2 which is what we can find in the books is worth 300-350$ What suprises us the most is that there is no information at all on the D-1... Is it because it wasnt imported to the states? We can find information from D-2 all the way to D-8 however nothing on D-1... :(
