ROME – In his second World Cup ever, 16-year-old Vincent Hancock (Eatonton, Ga.) clinched the only medal won at the ISSF World Cup Rome for the U.S. Shotgun Team-- the silver medal in men’s skeet.

Hancock finished the qualifying rounds tied with Ennio Falco, of Italy, with a 124 out of 125. That score also ties Hancock’s World Record score from the Korea World Cup, earlier this season. Falco pulled ahead in the final round, however, shooting a perfect score of 25 compared to Hancock’s 24. Falco also tied Hancock’s Final World Record, and finished with a 149 total score for the gold. Di Jin, of China, took the bronze medal with a 146 total score.

The U.S. Shotgun Team now travels to Lonato, Italy, where the World Shotgun Championships start tomorrow and last through May 31.
