More mods or registration required ?

Well I see the inevitable has happened and we have some sex spam. In this day and age I'm suprised it took so long. It seems there's no one around to clear out the rubbish (trash) at the moment - so assuming I'm not overstepping the mark - do we need more mods and/or compulsory registration ?

I personally think the latter makes sense and those that prefer annonimity can still retain it under a pseudonym.

Any thoughts ? Mods ?

Rob.

Most other gun boards require registration and e-mail validation before you are allowed to post.

I wouldn't be against it.

It doesn't bother me either way, but considering we've had only ONE sex spam poster (that I've seen), and about THIRTY posters that have kept the topic at the top of the list, I'd wonder if our collective attentions could be better directed elsewhere.

I suspect the reason the 'SPAM' kept top was because it a) wasn't removed for a long time and b) people were trying to bring it to the mods attention.

I'm sure I was one of the many who PM'd the mods but for whatever reason they didn't pick up on it for some time. I guess that illustrated the problem with too few mods and bearing in mind there are posters from pretty much every time zone, we could potentially have 24/7 moderation with a few more mods.

It was only a suggestion, if the guys running the site are happy then I can live with the odd, rare, bit of SPAM.
