Sweet! Haven't shot (or seen one in NZ) a 96U yet!
Good solid guns.

Pretty decent place; way better than Australia!
Cannot help you with a passport, perhaps
www.immigration.govt.nz can - good luck.

I just bought back the SSP I sold three years ago. Been using an MG2 in the meantime. One box of ammo and I am rehooked on the SSP.

Here I am reviving an old thread...
poorphilly wrote:
All I hear from the new guns isn't very positive.
I'm doubting between:
0: Unique 96u in mint condition with weights
1: Walther SSP .22
2: Pardini SP .22
3: Walther GSP expert .22
I'm now looking at the same, but am enchanted by the MG2, and very trepidatious about the prices involved.
So I read the thread with baited breath waiting to hear the conclusion, and it wasn't there.
What did you buy? How do you rate your purchase experience, and the pistol you chose?
Did you disappear from the forum? Not too familiar with this forum yet, but searching by author seems to indicate poorphilly doesn't seem to have posted since the conclusion of this thread.

Love the look of the SSP, but it costs so much! Even the magazines are far more expensive than everyone else's.
Regardless, a used mechanical Walther SSP has my eye.

Hello @all, my English is not very well, but i try ... ;-))
1. Are you still happy with your pistol. I´ve a SSP, my Daughter a SSPe since she was 14 (now 16), an yes, we are very happy
2. How many rounds did you already shot true it. approximated 5-6.000 shoot each
2c. How old is your pistol? 2014 both
3. What kind of breakages did you have ? the SSp none, SSPE electronic problems - regulated by Walther for free
3B. Did you replace some parts already? look 3.
3C. Do you have spare parts for it? yes, 2 striker and each one rear sight extra to change precision/duell
4. What kind of ammo do you use? only SK Pistol match
5. Is it reliable? yes, always
6. Are there versions of the pistol know to be un unreliable? (old versions,...) no
only one thing is irritating: unloading, when te magazine ist not empty, it is not amazing ....
I don not believe the price for the pardini in portugal - 1500 € are unbelieveable and seems unplausible.
In germany the pardini costs more than 2.000,-- €, the SSP about 1800,-- € at my dealer ...
Hallo Ulrich,
als SSP-Schütze ist das Entladen eine Katastrophe !! Gibts da einen Trick ?

Thanks for the reply! It was my fault that the thread got revived. So the price information may be no good but it's great to hear from current owners.
