Ok, so they didn't understand it either, not that this makes me more confident in mine! :-)

So, pivot at the rear, bumpers at the front, spring holds it *up* and weight pivots *down*. This much makes perfect sense.

But I don't get why there are two adjusting screws.

The #2 screw near the rear by the pivot, which Benelli says "adjusts the range of movement of the moving portion of the weight". But, it goes through the fixed piece and appears to touch the underside of the frame, missing the weight entirely. And, yours is backed out relatively far. What the heck does it do?

And the #3 screw next to the spring, which Benelli says "is used to fix the mobile part to the entire weight" looks like a limit screw, and would stop the downward movement.

I'm guessing Benelli switched the numbers but I still don't understand what each one really does. Can you explain how you adjust these on your gun?
