I thought that they didn't melt in your hand. The next thing I know someone is going to tell me that it doesn't take 3 licks to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop.

CTE of lead is 15.1 x 10^-6 in/(in F), so a 10 degree change in temp for a 0.314" slug will change the diameter by 0.00004". Given the other errors, probably not enough to worry about.
