Laser rangefinder

Post by Freepistol »

I just purchased a laser rangefinder for archery hunting with an inclinometer. I was testing it {1 yard off on my air pistol range} and found out that my target is 1 degree low. I think I'm going to take it to all the matches and compare angles. I wonder if I will be most comfortable shooting at ranges that have similar angles.

That's why the ISSF rules have target heights (measured from the floor of the firing point) with reasonably tight tolerances e.g. +/-50mm for 10m targets.
