High Standard Military rear sight removal

Post by CPT-DAN »

Does any one know how to remove the rear sight bridge from a HS Military series frame. It appears to be held on by a two piece rivet and a roll pins. thanks, Dan

Drive the center rear roll pin into the sear area. You should remove the sear first. Through the little hole in one large pin, drive out its' other half with a punch. The pin halves can be very tight. Then drive out the remaining half from the other side. The two side roll pins need to be driven in JUST enough to free their bridge sight legs. If you drive them too far they will hit the far side.
