Webley Black Powder Conversion

Post by top end »

I am in the process of converting an old Webley single shot .22lr pistol into a Black Powder gun for 50 metre matches. ( 50M BP is popular in Australia and quite a few of these conversions have been attempted). Has anyone got any insights (pitfalls, tips, hints, suggestions etc.) before I get too carried away? Thanks

an interesting exercise - but...

...many have made up the interts to take the pecussion caps - few .22 (if any) conversions appear at the top of the results at state or nationals competitions. Fouling is a major problem in the smaller calibres.
