shooting Tour of China
who would be interested in having a tour of China, visit the Great Wall, Forbidden City, the terra cotta soldiers in Xian and AND get to shoot in the Beijing Olympic Range. Price would be in the $2000 dollar range. I'm thinking either October or Novermber of this year or spring next year.
Give me a some idea of interest and if there is enough, I will persue more details with people here in Beijing

I'd love to go, but need more lead-time... I already have plans for travel, pretty much every other month from now till Nov. of 2009.

If I can suggest, don’t go the first week of October. The first is a national holiday. I was there last year and it was very interesting, lots and lots of people. My wife and I were prepared for it and expected the crowds. The only problem was getting a taxi to go to some of the tourist spots. They didn’t want to go any were near them. Once at the tourist spots it was worst then going to Disneyland on a holiday.
I would be interested but would like to know more details too:
Price includes airfare, hotel, meals, and airport transfer? Will we be able to bring our own firearms to shoot with?

Scott,
My wife and I would be interested in a China trip, provided that it's next year. This October is already spoken for.
Would this trip be in lieu of Germany, or in addition to? If I have a choice, I think I'd prefer to do my first shooting tour in Germany.
Thanks for thinking of us shooters!

guns are strictly controlled in China and is true for air guns as well. If you have official invitation for competitions, that is of course much less hassle. If you are on a private trip, please plan well ahead and have your corresponding organisation in Beijing to endorse your weapon's custom clearance. Expect long delays in and out of airport for clearance.
