I have heard thrid or fourth hand that the tie breaker between Margret Murdock and Lannie Basham was decided by a coin toss as the tie was unbreakably under the rules. I had the honor to shoot service rifle as shooting partner with Margret in 1971. And her competitive attitude leads me to doubt this story. Margret was a shooter, not a gambler.
