By us, a conventional 200 or 300 bar tank can be "transformed" to a "fire fighter tank" with just a stamping after the first (5 years) pressure test. The valves or threads are not altered. The benefit is a longer, 5-yearly pressure-test-interval, as opposed to 3-yearly interval for diver tanks older than 5 years.
Here, tanks that hold 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 and 20 litres are available. The 10 or 12 litre tanks are fairly portable, and holds air for one seasons use for most of us.
