Hi,
I have just bought a Hämmerli 240 in .38. The kit also contains .32 and .22LR. The price was 520 US$$ from a dealer. I could not resist. Everything is like new in original boxes, grip not altered at all.
Do you know any link on the net with information about how to service this gun? I know one about 240 on Potters. The 240 is not made in so many exes. I know it has inherited some design from SIG 210. I hope it will do well. It is a nice gun anyhow.

The Hammerli 240 is a wellmade and accurate, but costly gun.
My club owns one in .38 WC caliber. It is a pity that the guns firing pin broke some time ago, and we have not been able to locate a source for spares.
Any suggestions, anyone?

You must be kidding!!!! That was an steal!!!. The price of that gun only with one caliber is about 1,500-1,700...lucky you!!!!.
I saw that you are at Sweden. I don't have the smallest idea about who is the Hämmerli's dealer there, but you can ask directly the people from Hämmerli (www.haemmerli.ch).
Congrats for your super-purchase. I really envy you. If you want to send it to Mexico, I can pay you $600...;-)

P240
The P240 is a nice gun, but be careful with the .38 , it has a very tight barrel.
A lot of P240 in Australia were bulged in the barrel using .357 hollowbase wadcutters by leaving the skirt in the barrel.
If you slug your barrel you may find it to be a .355 barrel. Use .356 bullets not larger.
A number of Australian P240 also went very rattly when they were used for Service pistol (power factor 120) so no hot loads and the pistol will give years of use.
Firing pins can be ground from model aircraft piano wire, but grind slowly and cool often so as not to change the temper, you will not break them.
