High School JROTC Range Has Electronic Targets - Enterprise High School in Enterprise, Alabama has become the first public school in the nation to have electronic air rifle target systems installed in their Army JROTC air rifle range.

Mike Anti, Olympic Silver Medalist Keynote Speaker at National Youth Shooting Sports Leadership Conference - Less than two months after the United States’ successful showing at the Athens Olympics, the 2004 National Youth Shooting Sports Leadership Conference was full of Olympic excitement. The conference, hosted by the CMP and held in partnership with USA Shooting and the NRA, took place in October at Camp Perry, Ohio. It featured several Olympics-related presentations. One of the most compelling and challenging of those presentations was given by the conference keynote speaker 2004 Olympic Silver medalist Major Mike Anti, U. S. Army.

New York Juniors Featured in National Television Broadcast on Sport Shooting - (ALBANY) New York’s champion junior rifle teams are featured on an upcoming nationally syndicated television show focused on teens. Kelly Hoeltschi has been attending the Highpower Rifle Matches during the National Matches at Camp Perry since 2001 and Victoria Geramita has been attending since 2000. Both juniors have also attended the USMC HP Junior Clinic during the National Matches. Teen Kid News (TKN) featured the New York teens in an effort to show how high-powered rifles are often used in sport.

6th Annual Palmyra Invitational. The 6th Annual Palmyra Invitational hosted by Palmyra Sportsmen’s Association (PA) will take place on January 15-16, 22-23, 29-30 (Fridays and Mondays can be scheduled). The Individual Match is open to NRA members, juniors of a NRA affiliated club or member of a collegiate team/club. The Team Match is open to any single NRA affiliated club or collegiate team. Civilian Marksmanship Program Holiday Work Schedule. All CMP offices and operations will be closed from 12:00 noon 23 December till 8:00 A.M. 27 December and then again from 30 December till 8:00 A.M. 3 January. The CMP management and staff wish everyone a very Happy Holiday season.
CMP To Attend Harrisburg, PA Gun Show. CMP is scheduled to have a presence at four gun shows over the next ten months. The CMP will be at the Harrisburg, PA Gun Show this weekend. We plan on bringing 200 Garands in all grades and a small quantity of M1903 and M1903A3 rifles. We will not sell these rifles at the show, but will allow customers to reserve rifles by serial number and submit orders to CMP within 60 days of the show.
