How is the barrel retained in the barrel shroud on a Late Pardini SP ?
Is it just some form of locktite ?
Can it be removed with gentle heat ?
Just received a barrel where the chamber looks like it was cut with a steam shovel.
Deep grooves and galling about half way down the chamber and it is causing feed/extraction malfunctions.
Unfortunatly for the owner, it is out of warranty.
Could try re-ream and then polish but I think it will need to be changed.

Re: Pardini SP barrel
Could this be long term build-up? Mine gets build-up in this very spot, and if I don't clean the barrel for a while it gets pretty tough and hard to get out, certainly not with a brass brush. I have to use an iosso nylon brush with Big 45 Frontier wool wrapped around it to get this out.
Not saying it's definitely not damaged chamber, but perhaps worth a try unless you've already tried everything?

Yes, they are glued, with something.
But they may also have a screw under the frontsight.

An american Match grade chambering reamer hardly touched the surface, so the chamber was honed to try to smooth and polish.
When tried it worked very well, no more malcunctions and even worked well with CCI.
A little oversize but for Rapidfire that is not a problem.
