Tozier, Browning, Rhode, and Elliott, Earn 2024 Shotgun National Champion Titles

OLO SPRGS, CO (Sept. 25, 2024) – Rachel Tozier, William Browning, Kimberly Rhode, and Christian Elliott were crowned 2024 shotgun national champions at the annual competition in Hillsdale, Michigan, at Hillsdale College, Sept. 9-22.

Tozier, a Paris 2024 Olympian, took first in Women’s Trap after defeating Aiko Bianca Coloso, who finished first, and Taylor Dale, who finished third.

Browning, 2023 junior world championship medalist, earned his title in Men’s Trap by besting Derrick Mein, another Paris 2024 Olympian, who finished second. Will Hinton, also a Paris 2024 Olympian, finished third overall.

Juniors had their shot at winning a national champion title as well. Dale earned the Junior Women’s Trap title and Browning doubled his titles by taking home the Junior Men’s Trap gold medal as well.

Medals were also awarded for 18 and under, 15 and under, college, international, senior, and Paralympic competitors. See all trap results here.

Rhode earned her title in Women’s Skeet. Rhode, a six-time Olympic medalist out shot Samantha Simonton, Paris 2024 Olympic alternate, who finished second. Dania Vizzi, Paris 2024 Olympian, finished third overall.

Elliott, a two-time world championship medalist, earned the 2024 national title in Men’s Skeet. Elliott, the 2019 Pan American Games champion, defeated Benjamin Keller, two-time junior world champion, who placed second. Placing right behind Keller in third was Dustan Taylor, a five-time international medalist.

The Junior Men’s Skeet champion was Keller, and second place was earned by Jordan Sapp. Sapp out shot Aidin Burns who finished second. All three competitors are getting ready to compete in the 2024 Junior World Championships.

Up next for shotgun is the 2024 Junior World Championships in Lima, Peru Sept. 26-Oct.7. shotgun, rifle, and pistol, athletes will be representing Team USA on the international stage. The following junior shotgun athletes will be competing:
