Looking for info on the old 9003 Precise AIRGUN STOCK

Post by Abi »

Does anyone know if the old 9003 Precise air rifle stock matches the smallbore Precise stock?

Not the newest rendition of the "Precise" airgun, the OG shiny version from 10 years ago.

It looks like the buttplate and cheekpiece carriers are the same, and it "appears" the stock contour is the same.

Was it the same solid milled aluminum stock with the same contour in the rear?
What about the width of the foreend?
How different is the stack height from bottom of stock to top of action?

Humor me...

Abi,

I have both and I confirm that everything is the same: buttplate and cheekpiece are interchangeable. The shape of the fore end is identical.

Let me know if you need any specific dimensions.

This is immensely helpful, thank you Paul.
From your photo I can answer a bunch of my own questions, greatly appreciate it.

Main differences are in the position of the sights relative to the shooter in the same position...
- stack heigh between stock and rear sight dovetail will be different
- eye relief is different based on position of rear dovetail, sight radius is different

Stock length (underneath rail) is a little longer on the SB

But really the important question was if the milled aluminum stock itself was of the same contour, and from the grip adjustment knobs backwards, it is!
Relative width of the stock in front where a sling hand would sit was the only other question, but I could see this being a bit different based on the width of an air cylinder.
