MONTHLY AP LEAGUE JUNE 2022

Post by siordian1 »

Getting hot here in Phoenix. A good time for indoor shooting. As always, shoot as often as you like, post scores as you go. Have a good month.

Happy with the number of x-ring shots but disappointed with the inconsistent groups. A good card (93) is sandwiched between two bad cards (81 and 84) with poor groups. I thought perhaps this problem is related to stance changes between target changes. Now I am thinking it’s more related to slight changes in grip and/or triggering. Has anyone else solved a problem like this?

Not much to say. A good score in the middle of a month full of shitty scores. I'm getting pretty frustrated at my inability to be comfortable on the trigger and get a good sight picture. A few months ago there were times I felt like I couldn't miss, and now recently every shot is a struggle. I've been trying some changes to fit and setup and nothing seems to improve in the long run. I'm self trained since 2014 and then started shooting every day since 5/2020. I think I'm at the limiting point of that and I need a coach. Also an optician that knows how to make a lens for my prescription.

Things just came together last night and I shot the third highest score I've shot since I started this league. I only shot a two matches this month after not shooting at all in May. (Busy moving kids back home from universities for the summer.) The first match was in the low 540s. And last night's match was a 562.

562 - 96,93, 92, 94, 93, 94
