Help... Ear plugs for a Daith Piercing
Hi all,
My daughter has a daith piercing and a few of the ear plugs she has tried get uncomfortable after a bit.
Including the squishy yellow ones but she may just have to get used to them.
Does anyone have or know of someone with a daith peircing?
I found this online to describe it:
A Daith piercing is an ear piercing that passes through the ear's innermost cartilage fold
But it's through the hard part of the ear, just above the canal opening.
Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks

Has she thought of over-ear muffs?

Yes, but with the precision shooting team she is on, they will be in the way.
She used them day 1 and has been using a plug type set I found at Walmart since.
It's ok, but bother her.
Didn't know if others had this same problem, or if she just needs to "suck it up". LOL
Re: Help... Ear plugs for a Daith Piercing
I've given up on all the ear plugs but the pink Howard Leight MAX uncorded type. I buy them by the box from McMaster, but ...
I also learned, eventually, to NOT stash them in a pocket after use to use again later. Lead to some mild infections, mainly just itching, from bacteria growing on them. I've heard of people washing them in one of the knit bags for small items, and I've had some that accidentally went thru the wash that look like new. Something to try to reduce cost if you use them every day.

Has she thought about removing the piercing?

If she's feeling uncomfortable with it, it would be a great decision if she decide to remove it

An audiologist could make custom molded earplugs. Maybe they can put tape or padding around the piercing when molding the ear so the plug avoids it? or you could cut away the material around it.
