Who uses performance journals?
I put in my journal: equipment, match scores, changes to equipment, important articles that influence my shooting style, pre-shot routine changes and details about the range that affected my game. I also have in there final scores for WAG, Olympic and other recent big matches to use as a yardstick.
I do not put; trivia, food, weather (indoor) or jokes.
I find it valuable to reflect back on my growth.
On the other hand, I find it near impossible to get my athletes to keep a journal. This is discouraging and I believe limits their potential and growth.

Re: Performance Journals and athletes
Add a section with sight settings.
Including some reference for sights, witness marks, settings up/dn , L/R from a sero point.
Settings for different ammo, range's, light settings, precision and reapidfire stage.
Witness marks and zero settings allow you to remove the sight off the gun if required and
re-set them back.
