Soft cases for large free pistols?

Post by Jacob »

I'm setting up a Pelican case (with dividers, and padded cases on the inside) for my Pardini FPM and SP. The idea is to not have to lug around the gigantic FPM hard case. A SP is easy enough to find a soft case for; the same cannot be said for a FPM. It doesn't seem that ~460mm/1'6" long soft cases exist out in the wild. There are a variety of laptop cases which could work, but they simply aren't wide enough for the grip of a free.

Does anyone know of a soft case that could accommodate a large free pistol? I'm close to just buying one of those wacky shotgun scabbards and chopping off half of it.

I think that my Remington XP-100 Soft Case may be able to hold my Morini CM84E or my FP500 Free Pistols. I am out of town for a while, but will check when I get back home. They can be found used on the web. Also have a soft UZI case that would probably work well.

Or maybe:

Thanks all for the suggestions! I also found this just now; it looks like it will be a good contender too: https://elitesurvival.com/products/submachine-gun-case (the model for OA96) Image
It is 17x10"

The Kel-Tec sub2000 soft case is 17.5x10x1.5, and might be a smidge too narrow but may also work.
