I'm SO cheap!
But that doesn't mean you can have me.
I know I have a rep on TT for promoting SSPs. That doesn't mean it's a bad thing. I promote SSPs because you can get them cheap and don't have to buy expensive support for them. You know: expired cylinders, SCUBA tanks and fittings, tank refills and inspections, expensive rebuilds.
I just spotted this ad in the BST section: https://www.targettalk.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=63168
I thought, "I should buy this just to fuck with some poor dolt.", but I didn't. I left it for some poverty stricken Olympic hopeful.
I like CO2 for the reasons above; much cheaper to run.
So, for the feeble guys sitting in front of their computer clutching their "mouse", who can't handle the "power stroking" of an SSP, here's your chance.

Re: I'm SO cheap!
Sometimes, the issue isn't the ability to pump the single stroke pneumatic air pistol. Due to a variety of factors as one ages, it can become difficult to hold and shoot heavier air pistols. This can become problematic as a match progresses beyond the twenty or so shot point. A Baikal 46M can be very difficult to manage over the course of a match, particularly if one has added weight under the grip to counteract the nose heavy aspect of this pistol. Such is the case with me.Rover wrote: ↑Mon Mar 01, 2021 8:07 am But that doesn't mean you can have me.

I like shooting my 46M for fun, but not so much in a match any more. My left shooting shoulder and hand are not what they once were. A lighter air pistol is what I need to enjoy the sport. My right had enjoys mouse play now that I have a vertical mouse that reduces strain on my wrist.....:-)

Re: I'm SO cheap!
Rover, you should just buy this on E-Bay. Only TWO GRAND!!!

What a bargain!
Re: I'm SO cheap!
Warren at Pilkington steered me to a used K58 instead of the IZH-46.
That turned out to be a great re-direct.
The K58 is MUCH lighterer than the IZH-46 (I think), and the grip fit my hand without any fussing/fitting.
But my tendonitis caught up with me, and I had to switch to a Walther CPM1, co2 AP.
But I still use the K58 if/when I travel and want to take an AP, and not deal with and lug the co2 gear.

Only $2150 dollars. Glad I bought mine in 2006 when it was only $260 in the back pages of Shotgun News.

Let's talk "UnGe" from the "Cheap-Newbie" thread into buying this!

Hell yeah, he seems to be gullible enough to solicit advice from us.atomicgale wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 8:15 pm Let's talk "UnGe" from the "Cheap-Newbie" thread into buying this!
