Starting to get the swing of some things. Using my new grip from Andrew Berryhill at Precision Target Pistol Grips, it has made a world of difference! Going to switch to a 6 o'clock hold soon as I am losing the front sight in the bull. Waiting on my lenses to get in for my astigmatism, hopefully that should clear things up (literally).

Got a brand new gun less than two weeks ago, so I'm suffering through getting re-fit at the moment, but in the middle of a bunch of mediocre scores, I pulled out a decent session somewhere in there.

95, 96, 96, 93, 97, 93= 570
Walther LP 500
RWS Meisterkugeln 7gr
Sub 6
M, 44

It's going to be some time before I'm properly fitted to the grip and used to the new trigger, but the gun itself is spectacular. When I comfortably let a shot break, it's a 10 every time. Now I just need to get more comfortable, more often with it.

So we can expect 585´s?

Trigger pull was real consistent tonight, but I lost my focus on the front sight a few times for sure. Either that or the bikini team did a sub-optimal job sorting my pellets.

You have my promise that you will definitely, positively, and undoubtedly see 572s. Maybe even a 573. I already shot that with my previous gun, but that was 3-4 months ago when I was a young man. Nowadays I'm old and I need this bleeding edge tech just to keep me from sliding back too far...

Last weekend to shoot. Shoot as often as you like, I will post the high score.

I shot a 552 at our annual Mid-Winter match. I shot 3 shot cards. I had not shot that way in a long time, I usually 5 shot or 10 shot cards. I found myself getting better shots. My part time coach, Brenda Silva told me, "rhythm" I got myself into a better rhythm by only shooing 3 shots per card. Am I onto something? What say you all?

This is my first time joining this match. I've been in a postal match with the Rockville, MD IWLA for about a year. They have been shooting air gun matches since 1984 at their chapter house. The Covid mess stopped that for while, so they started postal (really Internet) matches. They have opened the chapter house and continued with hybrid matches (house/Internet combined).I moved from Maryland in 2005 and stopped shooting air pistol, but continued with multiple other disciplines including CAS, WB, IDPA, and ASI. I had sold my Walther CP3 but kept a FWB 65. Recently decided that life's too short at my age (83) to crank a 65, so bought a Morini 162MI. Finally got it sighted in, but still am sanding on the grip. Should have gotten a large grip. Also am waiting on a 4mm front sight. Finally, should I make a donation for the match? If so to whom?

Score = 514 (79,87,88,89,87,84)
Pistol = Morini 162MI
Ammo = RWS R10 7.0 gr.

I've done a lot of shooting this month. Unfortunately, I'm very inconsistent. My scores this month in order are:

536
545
531
533
544
540
527

I'm going to have to figure out what the cause of the great variation is...

If I'm allowed to pick the best of the month I'll go with the 545 - 87, 92, 92, 93, 95, 86

This was shot following all the ISSF rules as best I can in my basement at a measured 10m.
