Need trigger help for Anschutz 1451/Achiever rifles

Post by JasonM »

My daughters shoot in a local 4H junior shooting club in 4-position (eventually) matches. My younger daughter and a couple others in the club shoot Achievers or 1451s. They are accurate enough, but the triggers are pretty terrible compared to most of the other rifles being used. Does anyone have a tutorial for making them significantly better or have someone that we can have do trigger work on them? They're great for size/price for the smaller juniors, but the triggers are frustrating. My daughter, in particular, says she'd rather shoot her own CZ452 instead of the Anschutz just because of the trigger.

I would also like to know the answer to this question. My junior club has four 1451's. The triggers are bad. The adjustments are almost unusable and must be loctited in place because they will not stay put. Even Anschutz repair guys don't like them.

Sorry but the there isn't much that can be done to improve the 1451 trigger. It's a much different design from the Anschutz 1903 trigger or any of the other Anschutz match triggers. Very poor design plunger mechanism.
