Morini

From my reading, it looks like the Morini is probably the winningest FP in recent history (others maybe back in older years). How was the CM80 compared to todays CM84E Series?

I have found it interesting that Morini lists three or four dealers in the U.S. and two of them not only don't have any in stock or on order but both told me they probably will not be carrying them any more. (Maybe just the Free Pistols)

No real suprise..... FP was dropped from the Olympic Program. ISSF matches are few and far between and dealers see the lack of a new gun sales market........

Looks like that is why Walther has exited the market too. I have their last FP and last FP-500 on its way to me.

I have a CM-80 that I bought mostly as a curiosity. I like shooting it, and I like the fact that the sight radius is so adjustable as a result of the sliding front sight. That said, I prefer shooting the CM84.

Where is Mount Joy PA? What type shooting is available in your neck of the woods? I shoot at Williamsport (Trout Run) and get into the Harrisburg area regularly and can bring hand guns to PA.

I have bids in on a CM80 on Gun Broker, just for the Cool Factor.

Between Lancaster and Harrisburg. Palmyra Sportsmen's Association (near Hershey) has FP and AP matches twice a year; next is in early September (usually May and December, but May's match was pushed back due to Covid). There's a recurring Air Pistol program in Annapolis. Beyond those two things there's a pretty good (for this day and age) assortment of Bullseye activity, as well as high power rifle matches. This area has a lot of "Sportsmen's Clubs" with ranges out to either 100 or 200 yards (a few to 600), and thankfully state law says they can't be shut down due to noise or nuisance complaints from housing that has grown up around them.
