Am looking for a new pistol, moving up from a worked over Ruger MK 4. Am trying to decide on either the FWB AW93 or the Walther SSP. I understand many people like the Pardini or Walther GSP, however I live in NY and they are not allowed.
Any information from owners about these pistols would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Re: looking for new pistol
There's a ton of info already available. Use the search function on either pistol.
I found 1666 hits on the Walther SSP, and 914 on the AW93.
Once you've done that, if you are still undecided, you can ask much mores specific questions.

Thanks Gwhit,
tried the search feature and find most posts are about airpistols. Will try to refine my search string.

Re: looking for new pistol
Beyond a two-stage trigger and a nicer grip, what are you expecting to get? If I were looking to step up from a Ruger - and couldn't have a Pardini - I'd consider an old Hi-Standard with Rink or Nill grips.

hi William,
Just want something new. Approaching 70 so this might be my last one.

Speaking for myself (past 70) and I think for Rover (nobody knows real age, but remarkably well preserved!), how about a bottle of 18 year-old Laphraiog.

Now THAT I have covered. I agree with this suggestion, have many times in the past.
Think I will go with the Walther SSP tho.
Thanks to all who posted help.
