Yep the only problem I can see with that is trying to fit a tube style red dot.

Yeah, with the top load, it's not clear if a tube would work at all unless it was all the way forward, or all the way at the back, and either may unbalance the gun. A small dot like the FastFires or similar might be able to go in place of the rear sight with a properly made adapter.

It looks pretty good, and I like the grip angle as compared to, say a 208. Could be a good option for people who have legal limitations on magzine-forward designs. Only question is, is it for sale in the US or just Europe?

In Italy the prize of the 6007 is 1490 euros. Surprisingly nobody has seen it in the ranges, and nobody knows why. The reason could be that the "expertise" of Chiappa - with match pistols - is different from the "expertise" of the IGI-Domino/FAS glorious firm of Massimo Mencarelli (pic).

I remember that 40 years ago I was shooting with the IGI-Domino 602 and it was an outstanding match pistol.

I fully agree about the quality of the (FAS) 602, but there is no way that picture is of a 40 year old gun ;-)

From memory, those magazines only came out in 1984, and the adjustable trigger shoe was even later.

(My own 602s were fitted with the heavy weight barrel shroud)

Correct, that picture isn't that old :-)

I remember that Cesare Morini (in Parma at that time) used to improve the old IGI-DOMINO SP602, he made special barrels and - if I remeber well - also special trigger packets.

Enjoy shooting my FAS607. Have been delinquent in ordering new magazines and tune up kits.
Really must get round to doing that while they are still available.

Was initially glad to see the announcements that Chiappa was reviving the pistol, but was then disappointed by the launch delays and then that they decided to price it at a price where you can buy other competition guns after seeing promises of it being an inexpensive alternative.

The new 6007 seems to change parts for the sake of change, and thus not reviving support of old pistols, and doesn't seem to bring any new innovation (perhaps a conversion for CF).

A genuine IGI-DOMINO 602

Slightly off topic, but was there a connection between Britarms and FAS? In the last week I’ve handled a FAS 602, 603 and 607 and Britarms std pistol and there appears to be some strong similarities externally between the FAS pistols and Britarms.

I was impressed at how easily the FAS can be disassembled.

As for parts, does Chiappa sell spare buffers for the FAS pistols?

None whatsoever.

While there is/was no formal relationship between FAS and Britarms, having owned and used both I can say that the designs are near copies. Since the Dimino came on the market earlier, I can only assume that Westlake Engineering jumped on a lack of any patent or design protection and replicated the pattern but in steel rather than aluminium. On the other hand while I have never had a Domino or FAS go full auto on me, I have had that experience with a Britarms Mk 3. Just my perspectives as an old and decrepit practitioner of the game.

Alan Westlake only bought Britarms several years after it was released.

The internals of the Britarms are nothing like the Igi-Domino / FAS.
