I want to upgrade the Grip on my AP20 to the wooden grip that Walther says is the upgrade. My problem is that from what I can tell they attach in a totally different manner. Walther Part# 2777258 is listed as the upgrade in my owners manual. My buddy owns a LP400 which uses this grip, but he has a stud that the grip screw clamps onto ("Hinge, Complete" part# 101 in the LP400 exploded parts view). Where as the AP20 has a ball, socket, and screw attachment system. Has anyone done this upgrade? Do I need to find this "Hinge, Complete", and if so does anyone know where I could buy it?
Any information is appreciated.
The part# for the Hinge is 2787083 I was able to purchase one from Walther USA I also purchased the Grip from them.

I think there was a query about this issue not that long ago, and the person posting did find the correct part. Do a search. I think it was about 2 or 3 months ago.

I can help you upgrade the grip for your AP20. I have both the AP20 and the LP400 in my reference collection and build grips for each. They share a lot of similar parts and Walther doesn't do a very good job explaining how the two different grip schemes relate.
I 3d print custom target pistol grips and would be happy to make one for you to replace the stock AP20 grip. I use a wood composite material that feels like wood in your hand and can be touched up with sandpaper or putty for final fitting. Take a look at my webpage (PrecisionTargetPistolGrips.com) for pictures and search this site for lots of positive reviews of my work.

Just pull up the schematic for the lp400 on walther site.
Order the pieces that make up the swivel for the grip or the whole assembly part #.
