Another place I have found for 10 meter air pistol matches and free pistol matches is at Sandy Ford Sportsman's Club. Located in upper Illinois. Their next Air Pistol match is December 9th.

OK, guys, now try not to visualize Rover in bloomers. Don't gag on your turkey & stuffing.

OK "Born To Suffers", having Thanksgiving dinner on the patio with temps in the mid 80's.

Suckin' on a nice Beaujolais-Villages while contemplating my next win.

Actually, I'm sure I'd enjoy your match, even if it was just to listen to Clarence whimpering.

This is the newer program for the Sandy Ford matches. The one posted above is from last year.

We got a local TV station, WEAU, to do a story on 10 meter air pistol. The morning show, called Hello Wisconsin, came out to Bloomer Rod & Gun yesterday. They taped for a few hours. It will also talk about our 2nd annual Bloomer Air, air pistol match, Saturday, March 31st.

The Hello Wisconsin segment should air Friday, March 30th.
For $8 you get the use of an air pistol and fried chicken lunch. There will be engraved Buck knives for each class plus a $550 Brazen Sprots watch for the overal high score.

What a superb bit of PR and fun, and very well thought through to get it proper positive news coverage, a lot of work went into all of this so my hat goes off to you. If only other clubs had spark plugs like these lads and lasses, 10m shooting would be one of the most popular sports for all ages.

Great prizes, grub, loan pistols, advice, competition, TV and local news coverage, famous competitor on hand.

What is there not to like.

well done again

Thank for the kind comments. Special thanks go out to Brazen Sports and to Jim, Joni, Clyde, and Judy. It took a team to pull this off.

How could he not, sporting his legendary farkle encrusted pistol, and having trained with the finest at the fabulous Phoenix Rod & Gun Club.

Thanks to Chip we had another excellent air pistol match here in Bloomer, Wi.
The normal drive up at about 1.5 hours turned into just over 2 hours because of the winter storm front coming through.
I am thinking to myself...why am I doing this ?
Because there is no all year/summer long shooting close by here for me.
I take what I can get while I am physically able.
Good times for everyone, all shooters observed safety rules, great lunch and also talked with a few shooters that want to really get better in this sport.
I do believe/hope there will be more shooters next year at this great match.

Clarence

To Roger/Rover, this is for old times sake :)
