Morini 162 air cylinder repair

Post by SuperIIFT »

I have developed a very slow leak at the gauge end of the cylinder (water test proves it)
How do I go about replacing the O ring seal ?
First I need to know about removing the clear plastic cover and then what ?
I know enough to drain the air pressure
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Also where to get the O ring would help
Thank You
Dennis

I dealt with this a while ago. Apparently the leak is most likely from the gauge itself, and not just the seal between the gauge & the cylinder. There are also different vintages of gauges, some of which are more prone to leaking than others.

Seals can be purchased from Nikkonos in Canada.

If it's the gauge and the cylinder has a few years on it, it's probably cheaper to get a new cylinder. That's what I ended up doing.
