May be interesting to get an international comparison. Purchase price in UK about the same. If you get a "surface" valve fitted which cannot be used for diving there is a 5-yearly hydro test at about £45 ($60). Diving tanks need 2-yearly hydro test. Refilling from 180 bar up to 232 bar will usually cost only £1 unbelievably.
