5 shot AP for fun?

Post by IPshooter »

Hello all,

I am posting this on both this board and the Bullseye Pistol board in hopes of getting some replies.

I have a friend who wants a semi-auto air pistol, powered by either CO2 or compressed air, for some purely fun 5 shot strings. The style of the pistol should be a replica of one of the more popular pistols in general use - Beretta, Glock, Colt or S&W.

I know these air pistols are not world-class in terms of either quality or performance, but that's not the intended use. My bet is there are some folks on here who have some experience with these air pistols and who may be able to recommend one or two.

TIA

He wants action shooting, not precision. Big targets, close up, real fast.

He should be able to find something here to suit his tastes:

Thanks for the tip. Not much help though. Created an account there but it seems I cannot post a message.

One clarification. My friend is really pressing for this pistol to be CA. Haven't found any pistols in the style he wants powered by anything other than 12 gram CO2 cylinders. Let me know if anyone has a lead on CA one.

TIA

Not having any luck finding a CA 5 shot AP below the level of a Steyr. The Drulov DU-10 Condor looks interesting in that at least it can be filled from a CO2 bottle. Reminds me of the Tau. And, the price is reasonable.

Does anyone have a link to the Drulov factory Web site? None of my searches have found anything with this pistol.

I'm afraid the guy is SOL. I know of nothing that he might want.

I suspect he's not willing to drop a $K or so for a Steyr LP5.

He may be willing to do exactly this. I have this post on the B/S/T board:

This pistol would be for his personal use. If he likes it, and I'm sure he would, he might spring for at least a total of 2 of them.

These other pistols he's looking for are for use on a new commercial range. Unless I can break something loose on the Drulov which is already giving me doubts, he's probably going to have to accept either less expensive CO2 pistols or step up to the LP5.

That's why I didn't throw the LP5 at you first thing.
