I do not understand why the two big factories presenting new air pistol after years, not expose them on their websites?

Companies are so focused on designing and manufacturing new products that they postpone the hard work of getting ready to market them until too late in the game.

Looks like new front sight will work on old models
I imagine if the cant on the front sight did not exactly match the cant on the rear sight the sight picture would be very annoying

That's a half assed solution. The sights, if canted will no longer be directly above the barrel! This is one area that FWB have got right as their front sight is adjusted by turning the whole comp around the barrel axis.

Yup, that is why I use a LP2 compensator on my LP10E.

What wonderful foresight you must have; adapting your gun to be suitable for a sighting system you didn't even know about.
Either that or pure luck.

I suppose your expectations are to high... ;-)

Steyr Sport is a small company. I would say - family business. Big part of the business is outsourced. And sub-partners are usually very small companies too (4-5 workers).
Some info material must be prepared... studio photo session, post-processing the photos, new user manual etc. If sub-partner don't have time/capacity for you at the moment - you have to wait ;-)

We even don't know if evo10 is really ready for series production. To prepare 3-5 prototypes for the IWA Exhibition is not a big deal.

Many German stores put evo10 and p8x in their online catalogs after the announcement (with prices) so i would say it is past prototype stage. Production capacity should not be as high at first but should ramp up quickly given the similarity of evo10 and lp10.

Hello,

the evo 10 Pistols shown on IWA 2016 are no prototypes.
We have been there and have talked to Steyr.
I think they had not the time yet to update their Homepage...

Delivery of the new evo Models starts in April.

We as reseller got high Quality Pictures. You can find them in our shop

I cannot for the life of me think why anyone would want cantable sights on a pistol,or why a manufacturer would think it was needed

Sure looks like Moritz is capable of reaching high scores with his canted free pistol, but I would love to see the canting sights fad with airpistols...

LP10 Evo's arrived last Thursday in the UK.

Steyr had a selection of about 5 to play with at the North Wales shoot this weekend.

Not sure if any are left of the first batch, as three were sold by 11.00 today.

Only silver guns were available. No black and no LP10E's.
I also purchased a couple of fixed 5.0 front sight.

Don't think i need the adjustable front sight. Think it could possibly work loose and go out of adjustment.

The adjustable front sight can be very easily retrofitted to the older gun should you wish.

Has anyone compared these new guns to LP10/LP10E on shooting range yet?

LOL. It sounds like a star wars parody. I wonder if there is a army of Rover clones made somewhere in the universe to ensure SSP domination.

Sorry to steer conversation away but it was too funny to resist.

OK guys. To be fair, the scores I shoot with my Steyr LP1 and my Walther LPM1 are the same. The only difference is that it costs more to get into a PCP, but this is really the point I have been trying to make all along. Newbies or retirees don't need that extra cost, not to mention SSPs are generally cheaper. Besides, the exercise is good for them.

It's also good to know that the "FORCE" that drives the pellet is ME!!!

To make rover happy. I still own my first air pistol. A izh-46 ssp with heavily modified vitarbo grips. Still love tha piece of iron.
