Olympic Air Pistol / Air Rifle shooting in Los Angeles area?

I have had no luck finding any clubs anywhere near me where me and my 4 children can train for air pistol and air rifle competition -

I am 20 mins North of Los Angles and don't mind driving a few hours any suggestions ?

I can't help you with matches in your area, but I can offer some competition in the way of a postal match. It gets under way in Nov. and if you want the info on what it is and how to take part, send me a name and mailing address and I will get the info off asap. Don in Oregon

I live in Palmdale and I have not yet found a "live" match within reasonable driving distance. If you find one, please post the information here. However, two friends and I are shooting the postal league previously mentioned. We have a makeshift range (official specs, but not pretty) set up in a garage and we shoot on alternate Mondays when the league is in session. We also shoot during the "off" time as it's a fun get-together. Based on limited research, I think the nearest regular ranges are farther north (Sacramento?) or in the Phoenix area, neither of which are a convenient drive away for frequent practice.

I'm also trying to find a coach within a reasonable distance as I don't think I will improve quickly enough without some outside help.

Thanks for the tip, John. I've been to that web site any number of times and somehow never noticed the matches in La Puente. I'm off to check my calendar now to arrange my schedule so I can attend.

There used to be a group that shot at the Prado Olympic Shooting Facility.
But this was back in 2004 when I was down in Southern Calif. I don't know what the current status is of that group.
