Nobody could have said it better than Mr. Harman on Are You Being Served.
Spotted on a classified site, best left nameless, an at least 8 year-old Morini 162ei at an asking price almost $200 OVER what our gracious host charges for a brand spankin' new one (with cylinders not about to go stale). And he has the gall to describe it as "hard to find." Maybe it's the barrel weight, eh?
I've spent most of my adult life in sales, and I can't remember ever attempting a whopper like that.

If that absurd, may be it is not a whopper, could be someone selling an estate of a deceased shooter and relying on Uncle Teddy's advice. Is the seller a new one?

Also, are you sure that our host sells brand spankin' new Morini? Is it supposed to spank you if your score drops below something or every time you shoot it?

I see this sort of thing on craigslist fairly frequently. Air pistols in fair enough condition, but with asking prices FAR above retail for a new pistol. A nervy move alright, but who knows, maybe they actually sell now and then for asking price. If the buyer can't be bothered researching the actual value, now that we have such amazing search engines that anyone can do so easily, then tough luck for the buyer. I won't bother contacting the seller as they're plainly either trying to rip someone off or too ignorant to be taught much of anything, and either way wasting my time won't help.
