Hello,
I have a 1982 Walther GSP that I have owned for a couple of months. I am getting the occasional malfunction where the round will not extract. I am using Norma TAC 22 ammunition.
I'd appreciate some suggestions on what to look for before I start disassembling it.
Thanks, Paul

Re: Walther GSP .22 Extraction issue
Take a look at a fired case. If there are any scoring marks on them (the sides) check the corresponding part of the chamber mouth for burrs. If you find any, remove them.
Re: Walther GSP .22 Extraction issue
it could be chamber burrs, or slightly oversized ammo. The most likely problem is a dirty chamber:

I guess I had a"duh" moment. A dirty gun imagine that :) I cleaned it today and there was quite a bit of residue around the chamber. TAC 22 ammunition seems to be lightly oiled so I am not surprised at the build up.Gwhite wrote:

I'll get out to the range in the next couple of days but I expect it to be much better.
