I am 53 years, I'm going to shoot air pistol after six years.
I do a lot of effort to the scores that had earlier fired regularly 550, three months ago I went back and just get to 540.
How long does return to previous scores?
Please do not tell me another 6 years.
I am trainning each day.
Thank you,
Nano

Well, if you keep at it, you should be back to the same score area soon. I wanted to mention that I run a twice yearly air gun postal league that would make your practice sessions more meaningful. The summer series is just under way, but you could get caught up easily. If you want a flyer with the details, send me a name and address and I will get it off to you asap. Hope to hear from you. Re: Returt to shooting after 6 years
I took four years off from pistol shooting because my scores were plummeting due to vision issues. I've been trying to get back close to my best year (560 average for over 10,000 shots) or even my five year average of 558; but after three years I've been stuck around 546. But vision has been my constraint, which is hopefully not a problem for you. I am in good health and I think I've retained the stability, but being cross-dominant and using a very closed stance is not a good combination when you begin to have vision issues.
If you've managed to retain your vision and stability, I tend to think that you'll get back to those old scores within less than a year (probably significantly less if you're shooting every day).
