Izhmash Sobol bolt/pin: roll pin needed?

Post by Houngan »

My used Sobol, after about ten rounds, had an issue where the firing pin jammed forward. I had to take a small punch to knock it back, then cleaned it and messed around with it until it seems to be working now, 100 rounds later. However, I noticed a small hole in the bolt body where a pin might go to retain the firing pin from going backwards. The pin itself also looks to be cut in a way that would allow that.

Does a roll pin or something else go in that hole?

Yup, there's a pin in my Sobol bolt, but it looks like a solid pin

Thanks for the confirmation Rod, I reckon a roll pin should work as well.
