STEYR LP10E

Post by Tegrat »

My Steyr LP10E stopped again to work. The batteries wear out very quickly. The gun does not shoot more. Really a bitter experience.

The batteries are normally good for 30-35,000 shots. Is the ON/OFF switch moving correctly? Ensure that the stock securing bolt has not damaged the wiring causing a short.

During the first reparation at Steyr Sport the spring that holds the wires has been removed. The wires are free. The ON/OFF switch moves correctly. No short circuit.

Try using rechargeable batteries. If there is something wrong with the pistol, it won't cure that, of course, but many electronic devices last much longer with rechargeable batteries than non-rechargeable alkaline batteries. You'll need to have two sets of batteries, one set in the pistol and one set fully charged set handy, so you can swap them when the batteries in the pistol die. You might get enough longer life between batteries dying that it won't be so irritating.
