Have you had the grip off? I'd guess the electronic unit has come unplugged. Does the LED flash when you turn it on?

My Steyr LP10E has been perfectly repaired. The spring has been removed.

Are you referring to the spring that retracts the electronic module cable back into the grip?
Was it the factory or a distributor that suggested removal of the spring?

Our Steyr agent in the UK suggests not to remove the spring as the cable can get trapped in the grip and break, needing a replacement board.
I had a XL grip on my LP10E and the spring was too tight so I threaded a short rubber band on to the end of the spring and over the cable to create the right amount of tension to retract the cable.

I stretched my spring so it still retracts the wires but doesn't pull so hard. Seems to work ok.
