Steyr LP5 & LP50 magazines

Post by machinist mike »

Just a heads-up for everybody. Neal Stepp at International Shooters Service has the 5 round and single shot clips for the Steyr pistols for 59.00 each and the practice magazine for 46.00. Just ordered 2 each of the 5shot and single shot plus 1 practice clip for less than 300.00 including shipping. Ordered on a Monday evening and had them Friday. Please be aware that if you call him, I had to wait till evening to get hold of him.

Hi Mike

What is the function / operation of the practice clip? Am I correct in presuming the action cycles but little or no air is expended, or is just to ensure that no pellet can be chambered? Does it reduce the noise any?

I practice my dry fire by resetting the trigger each time? Fine for precision practice and also silent.

I am considering setting up a 7m "range" (all the room I have) for indoor precison and rapid fire practice / duelling.

Hi Peter
The 'Practice Clip' does all these things.

The practice magazine looks just like the 5 shot magazine without the holes for the pellets. Cycles and indexes just like the standard clip but no pellets, so no danger of putting a hole in a window or wall, LOL.
