Anschutz LP-@

Post by David W. Johnson »

I purchased this wonderful lady from Germany with two cylinders, tools, case, etc. I picked up some spare plastic thingies from the factory. I'll read the instructions to find out what they are and what to do with them. I also picked up a spare rod for the weights because it cost one Euro.

A couple of nights ago, I played with the sights. The rear sight bottomed out before I got it zeroed to shoot a 6 o'clock hold. Luckily, I had also picked up some spare front sights from the factory and they were a bit taller than the three way front sight it had on it. I popped on a new front sight and was able to get it zeroed. I also adjusted the gap in the rear sight.

The next night, I adjusted the first stage of the trigger because it was nearly non-existant and I like a bit of a takeup. I then lightened the trigger some. I was doing this while shooting a postal match. I shot my personal best.

So...all of that is to get to this question: anyone shooting the LP-@ have little tips and tricks they have discovered?

BTW - I've fallen in love with this pistol and doubt I'll shoot anything else for quite a while.

Thanks for any thoughts.

David
