I'm going to have a look at a Feinwerkbau C10 next week. Is there anything in particular that I should look out for? Also, opinions on this pistol are welcome. Thanks.

Don't buy this pistol unless you really want to kick ass on the PCP guys.

They are a quality gun; very nicely made and accurate, too.

It is old enough so that it may need new seals (not expensive).

Thanks for the reply Rover. Does anyone know if the CO2 canisters have a finite life span? I know that you can buy new ones, but they're not cheap. I suppose that I could install the Morini Air Conversion kit instead. Compressed air would be more convenient for me, as I already have a pump.

To buy an old CO2 gun and then spend 450 converting it to CA, you'll be better of trying to find a used CA gun instead.
Specially if you already have a pump.
Buying a CO2 gun makes sense if you shot it using CO2... Otherwise only if its sold for peanuts...

Also the kit specifies the model C20 and C25... check first if it works with the C10.

I'd only bother converting it if I had to replace the CO2 cylinders, as it's a similar price. If I don't need to replace them, I won't. A Gentleman at my club wants £250 for it, c/w x 2 CO2 cylinders, all the tools, case and a CO2 bottle (don't know what size) to fill it from. I'm not sure of the condition yet, as I haven't seen it close up, but the seller assures me it's in full working order. It sounds like a good deal to me. He's bringing it to my club on Wednesday, for me to have a look at it. I'll let you know how I get on.

That's about $400 US, a very good price here, especially since he's including a CO2 tank no matter what size.

I don't know why people think C02 fills are hard to come by. Much easier than SCUBA air.

You won't have to replace the CO2 cylinders unless you have some lummox determined to enforce a useless rule at a local match (unheard of in the US)..

That's good to hear. I only shoot competitively at my club, and in a postal league, so there won't be anyone checking dates on cylinders. Looks like it's going to stay CO2 then.

Thanks for the link. I found it with a Google search previously, but it was good to have another look. I used to own a Feinwerkbau 300S that was over 30 years old, and it was in amazing condition, considering it's age. It only looked about a year or two old. I put this down to fantastic engineering and build quality, which this pistol also seems to have. Another good thing I find about Feinwerkbau products is the support and availability of parts. I just downloaded the user manual for the C10 from Feinwerkbau's website. I'll have a good read through it. I'm guessing that this pistol is around 20 odd years old? I can't wait to try it out.

Well, I bought the Feinwerkbau C10. What a fantastic pistol. It feels much more refined than my Baikal MP-46M, which I am now going to sell. I can tell that I'm really going to get along with it. It just feels "right".

I've just remember this from my club's old guns. Don't over tighten the trigger blade screw (the one underneath) or it will split the plastic trigger ring it presses upon.

Great! Thanks for the help. I wish I would have read this back in March. Tried to tighten mine on a FWB Mod 2. Split the trigger on both sides. It is barely holding on now. Anybody got any ideas on where a replacement can be found? Maybe an aluminum one that can be tightened so the angle doesn't move around?

I got a replacement trigger from Pilk when the previous owner had buggered the trigger. For a while I tried the trigger off my LP1.
