Pardini electronic trigger reliability

Post by Heddok »

Two used Pardini's, an HP-E and SP-E have come onto the market here in Canada. I was wondering about the long term reliability of these triggers. The internet being what it is turns up a lot of opinions but little first hand experience.

I tend to keep my guns a long time and would hate to see the trigger fail unrepairably 10 years down the road. The Canadian dealer says he will stock solenoids as long as their available.

I should explain that good used Pardini's are extremely rare up here and I'm in a province with 12% sales tax so any purchase must be carefully weighed.

Any and all feedback and experience appreciated.

Dear Heddok:

When I purchased my pardini sp new bullseye edition over a year ago, Emil at Pardini USA heavily dissuaded me from pursuing a electronic trigger. This was after I informed him that NRA bullseye was my sport of choice. I thought that the electronic trigger would be awesome for dry fire testing but while Emil would not come out and say it, I suspect that they were getting a lot of double taps in slow fire bullseye shooters.

Having owned the pardini for more then a year, I am thoroughly impressed with the quality, reliability, function, and adjustability of the pardini.

Pardini no longer list the electronic trigger on their web site.

When I went to Pardini, in Lido di Camaiore, in May they told me that Gianpiero was fed up with electronic triggers and that he had decided never to make one for the future.
