Marvel Top - Sig 1911-22

Post by N5XTH »

Will a Marvel Conversion work on top of a Sig Sauger 1911-22? I have sent a request to Marvel but no response as of yet.

Out of curiosity why would you want to put a target unit on a plinker frame? The Marvel will fit all 1911's in 45ACP without modifying the ejector. 1911's in 9mm and 40 S&W may require the ejector to be reduced in height for proper functioning with the Marvel unit.

Unfortunately it is the only lower I have. I am hoping it will turn the plinker into something more. If it doesn't then I have the upper for when I get a better lower.

No, it will not work. None of the plinker 22 1911's will work except for the Kimber which is a real lower with a plinker upper. Look at the Springfield Range officer which is a great deal as a 45 and Marvel lower.
