Back to the original question;Far as i know there are no EIC rimfire matches, and the removal of the safety that just effects the mag will go un noticed and forgotten long as the firing safety is still intact and working, many who shoot the izh35 have done away with the grip safety because the use of aftermarket grips covers it or because adjusting the trigger makes it inoperable. Long as it can pass a trigger weight inspection you will be ok imo.
