Pistol Shooting posters?

Post by slofyr »

Enough of the military recruiting posters, and off-topic nonsense on the walls at the pistol range! We've decided to redirect the focus to precision shooting which is why most of us show up there. I drew the assignment to find handgun related posters, but have not had much luck so far at the CMP/USAS/ISSF. Does anyone know of a source of competitive handgun shooting posters?

I have a copy of a parts diagram (exploded view) for a TOZ35 Free Pistol.

Of course it's in Russian. It is horizontal and about 2' by 3' in size. (A guess)

You should contact the ISSF and ask if they have anything suitable.

If not, then why not?

And then suggest that they do what a good governing body should do and assist you (us) to promote the sport by creating such promotional material and making it available to shooting clubs worldwide at little or no cost.

Interesting proposal!!!

But it made me wonder............ the walls of my shooting club are filled with posters (the most part of them from Anschutz) showing their RIFLES, and RIFLE SHOOTING POSITIONS (featuring Matt Emmons as a model), and RIFLE ACCESORIES!!!

Come to think of it, AFAIK the same material but for pistols or pistol shooting has never been available. Not by Hammerli, nor Morini, nor any other I can remember.

I will be the first in line when your posters are ready to download them!!

I just did a quick check of the ISSF website (it was quick, I might have missed something).

The only downloadable posters I could find were for coaching courses and for anti doping.

I thought the ISSF had some, but maybe not...

Other sources are manufacturers promotional posters. Pardini, Steyr, Walther, Morini etc all produce them so try them direct or perhaps via a retailer (who may have old such material they don't want).

I know Steyr has posters, I can only assume the others do as well. The hard part is getting them.

Pistol Australia has a good set, I can't find a link, if there is one.

We even have a complete spare set in our club, maybe I'll post some pics.

Our awesome host does amazing photography. His daughter used to sell posters at the Nationals. I would bet that either Scott or Emily has posters that would work for your walls.

Call them or drop them a note on here and see what they can come up with.
