Drulov DU-10 repair?

Post by motorcycle_dan »

I have a DU-10 Condor air pistol. At a recent match it went "full auto" Luckily I only loaded a single pellet but it kept cycling the action. Made quick work of a CO2 cylinder. thought it may have been low pressure so installed a new cylinder with the same results. Anyone recommend someone to work on this or know how I might go about troubleshooting myself?

Thanks in advance.

Try asking on the airgunbbs webb site in Britain, there are people on there who have a bit of experience of the Drulov. We have one as a club gun and I think this is a common fault possibly linked with having wound up the velocity too high or having set the trigger too fine.

Drulov Experience

Doubling can occur when the pellets are too small. I had to try a few brands before I got consistent results. The vogel sold by our host worked fine. Advice given to me was a 4.50 pellet diameter is needed.

Doubling/full auto also happens when the pressure gets low. I found that if I turned the power adjustment screw down so that it was flush to the muzzle face the point at which low pressure would cause doubling would also go down.

I miss my drulov it was a fun pistol.

I bet that was the issue. I backed off the pressure thinking it would make more consistent shots for 10 meter accuracy.

Another thing is it keeps getting loose. Suggest something that would allow me to still have adjust-ability but add some friction? Teflon pipe tape?

Friend of mine has a Drulov free pistol. Would like to find another one like it. They had new Free Pistols where I bought this DU-10 but getting it back across national borders was the issue. Importing arms is possible but takes much more paperwork that I could do with only one day left in Slovakia.

Try blue locktight for the power screw

Suggest sparingly. It stopped mine from moving but I was still able to take it apart later.

A drulov free pistol? I think of upgrading from my 350 dollar tau but I keep telling myself to earn an upgrade through shooting a much higher score. maybe this year!
